Question:

Sign on/ password not working.

Answer:
Hi,

I am Ray, Steve's Brother-in-law webmaster in Oklahoma.

I was wondering if you had clicked on the "Forgot your password?" link at the login screen?

If you did and entered your email, the shopping cart would send you an email with a new machine generated password in it.

The subject for that email is: "Steve's Gunz - New Password" - If you don't see it in your email, look in your "JUNK", "SPAM", "BULK", or any other mailbox that your email program has that it puts potential spam.

If you subscribe to one of those email firewalls to keep out spam, then you need to whitelist anything from stevesgunz.com, particularly support@stevesgunz.com.

If you find that email, it has a new password on it. The email will look something like:

A new password was requested from 123.123.123.123.

Your new password to 'Steve's Gunz' is:

jDzD1

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(The password the system is sending is the machine generated: jDzD1 above)
NOTE: This will not be the password you will receive.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The first thing you would want to do after you get this password is log into the site with that password, click on the "My Account" tab, and then click on the "Change my account password." link under "My Account."

You will be asked 3 questions.
1. Current Password: (enter in that password from that email the site sent you after you found it.)
2. New Password: (enter a new password you would like to use.)
3. Confirm Password: (enter that new password again that you typed in on number 2.)

Then click on the submit button.

The system will "think" for a moment or two, and then you should see a green stripe that has "Your password has been successfully updated." in it.

If you see this, then you have successfully reset your password.

NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE THIS EMAIL, CHECK IN YOUR SPAM FOLDER, AS IT HAS PROBABLY BEEN BLOCKED. More and more Internet providers are throwing these emails in their spam folders these days.
