Excellent investment to prolong the life of your rifle, the stock spring is cheap carbon steel that in time and without use will rust causing poor feeding, jams & if left long enough without use can cause damage to the mag. tube. THE FIRST THING I DID TO MINE WAS CHANGE THIS SPRING, CHANGE THE PLASTIC MAG. FOLLOWER TO STAINLESS & BOUGHT THEIR PLUG TO REMOVE THAT FOOLISH AND DANGEROUS SAFETY ( the real safety on a lever action is the half cock hammer position, that locks the trigger and the gun is safe till you fully cock the hammer )...

Excellent!! This fits in the large Rossi dovetail perfectly. This combined with the folding rear sight dramatically improved the accuracy of this carbine for me and my aging eyes!!I had installed a Marbles Tang sight before which will now require a standard (longer)Tang upright. This will be a Great setup for this carbine....
